Our Beautiful Maddie

Hi

Just wanted to say what a wonderful group of people you are.

We are friends of Craig Cairnduff's and cancer took our baby daughter Maddie at the age of
15mths.

Over dinner, he told us of your cause and how much time & effort you are all unselfishly
putting in.

We watched our daughter for six long months, go through the most horrendous treatment,
all in vain and held her in our arms as she took her very last breath. It has changed our lives
forever and it comforting to see all of you trying to raise the much needed funds to find a cure
for all of these terrible cancers.
Craig told me that after his visit to the children's hospital, getting up at 4am to train is
not so hard. It is a very hard life indeed living in a hospital helplessly watching your child suffer.

People like you all are my inspiration to keep going, it is not until you go through something
like this that you meet the most wonderful people like yourselves and all of the doctor's and
nurses.

We will be watching your progress and will ask our angel in heaven to make your journey a
safe and profitable one.

Thanks to you all & Good luck to you all.

Danielle & David Vine

It has taken me a little while to write as I was so touched by your email/blog.

Your support and message is so touching.

Maddie is my inspiration – I just wanted to share that.

Hi there Danielle & David,

If there wasn't already enough reason, you've just cemented my resolve to do as much as I possibly can to make this Tour a success. I can't pretend to imagine the experience you guys have been through, only to say that the time and energy we are spending on this project feels like the very least we could do. You say people like us are "your inspiration"?? I'm in awe of people like YOU!! Hope to see you along at our finishing party!
Cheers, Josh

Danielle & David - how special it is to all of us for you to write and share your very personal experience. Thank you. It is kind of you to say that we provide inspiration but it you who provide us with so much motivation and inspiration.

Individually we can do a little, but together we can achieve so much.

Dear Dani and David,
Thankyou for sharing your story with our team and visitors to the Tour de Cure website.
I have not lost anyone to Cancer so can only imagine how painful it must be to loose someone so innocent and precious.
Your courage to go on has inspired me to push on through the tough days, keep a smile on my face as we ride in the rain and raise as much money as we can to help find a cure for Cancer.
Our hearts are with you and Maddie.
When the sun comes out from behind the clouds we will know it is Maddie shining down on us.
